Spring has sprung! Now is the time to dust off the cobwebs, switch out the draperies and open a few windows. It is also the time to switch out winter-wear for spring and summer clothing. Depending on just how many items of clothing you may own, this may be quite a feat. But what are some things that you can do to make the organizing and de-cluttering of your wardrobe easier? Well here are a few helpful suggestions:
- You simply can’t do it all at once! Break up your work into small projects. For instance, work on only your shoes one weekend and then move on to pants and blouses the next week. By breaking the work up into simpler projects you do not overwhelm yourself and give up.
- Start at the top! The top shelf that is… Do you use the top shelf of your closet for everything from scarves, to belts, to hats? Try using a clear front open bin in which to store these items. They will remain neat and tidy.
- “One of these things does not belong here”. Grouping items that are alike together makes them much easier to find when needed. It looks neat and tidy as well.
Those 3 simple things can make your spring organizing and de-cluttering much easier to accomplish. Happy Spring Cleaning!
